Taco Party!

Were you amoung the over 100 people who attended the final Dink & Drink – our Taco Party??? This was one of our top attendance events, a great time was had by all. There were paddles lined up all afternoon, and amazing food provided by Citlaly’s Taco Catering.

Mr Pickle visits our event!

It was a fitting end to our 2023 social events, we’re already looking forward to see what’s coming up in 2024! While Sherry & Michelle want to thank all their volunteers, we’d like to thank THEM for the great job they did!

Battle of the Paddle Tournament Results!

The Pickleball Club had an amazing weekend of play for our Battle of the Paddle. Our amazing tournament team of Sherry Benz and Michelle McQuay did it again! They were assisted by Anahid who handled the scoring. It never would have succeeded without the support team who setup, tore down and manned the food table: Stan Evert, Cheryl Heusser, Sheryl Ruth, Regina Franssen, Dari Tarabini, Valerie Simler, Cindy and Arthur Yu, Joanne Robinson, Kathy & Brian Dombrowski, Joyce Kludt, Laura Swenson, Julie Henig, MJ O’Neill, Srini Srinivasan, Mark Gregg, and Lesley Robinson! There were several hard fought battles, but more importantly there was a lot of laughter. The signups were terrific, leading to three divistions for the Women’s Doubles and two division for Men’s Doubles on Saturday.

Sunday saw three mixed divisions of doubles – Intermediate, Advanced Intermediate, and Advanced. Play was non-stop, and exciting to watch. The food was wonderful as always! We had several newcomers participate, and two double winners! Planning is already underway for next year- stay tuned for the exciting event schedule! How to Fall Properly

It doesn’t matter if you are walking, in the shower, playing tennis or playing pickleball. It’s possible to trip and fall at any time. Joyce had an unexpected fall and sustained an injury. While rehabbing, she had a lot of time to research the best way to handle a fall, and is sharing this information with all of us. Think about it, prepare, and it can make a big difference.
