Flight 1 winners were Anahid and Mark Gregg with Debbie and Danny Kirwan winning the consolation round. Gail Keck, Anna Hewitt, Kevin Prest and Norm Krishna were finalists.

Pickleball is Hot!
Villages Pickleball is hot! No, not the temperature, but Club growth and participation. Our membership has grown by over 60% so far this year, with new members joining weekly. We’re now averaging 35 court reservations per week; there would be more if had more time slots available!
What are “Court Shoes”?
With all the new Pickleball players, one question that keeps coming up is “What are ‘non-marking Court shoes’ and why are they required on The Villages courts?” Here are links to two short articles explaining what court shoes are, and the importance on why they should be worn.
Pickleball Club vs Bocce Club – Pickleball’s Revenge!
Revenge is SWEET!!! Another “just for fun” Pickleball Club/Bocce Club tournament took place on Sunday, September 9th at tennis courts 5 & 6. This time we all played pickleball and the Pickleball Club got the win. The final score for this tournament was 23 to 7.
