Primetime Hours

With the popularity of Pickleball, especially during the morning and late afternoon hours, “primetime hours” were implemented. To make the court reservation system fair to all players, the number of times any one individual can play in one week is limited in prime time.

Courts can be reserved one week + one hour in advance. For example, to reserve a court for Saturday at 9:00 AM, you can reserve it the prior Saturday at 8:00 AM.

  • Primetime morning hours are 9 AM to 12 noon
  • Primetime afternoon hours are 3:00 to 7:30 in the winter and 4:30 to 7:30 in the summer

The week begins on Sunday, and ends on Saturday.

  • During the winter, when we have 90-minute sessions, players are able to play three times during morning prime time hours (9:00 – 12:00), and three times during evening prime time hours in a one-week period, and twice per day regardless of time.
  • During the summer, when we have 60-minute sessions, players are able to play four times during morning prime time hours (9:00 – 12:00), and four times during evening prime time hours in a one-week period, and twice per day regardless of time.

This includes both individually scheduled play and instructional group play sessions. See example below, where I’ve booked the maximum times as a player. The calculation is made regardless of whether you create the reservation or are added by someone else.

This will provide the opportunity for more individuals to play during the preferred times in the morning and evening. Players can still play twice a day (once in the morning, once in the afternoon), it just impacts how many times a week in a given prime time session.

There are no restrictions during the middle of the day, which makes it a great time to get out there and practice drills or play with a larger group of people and rotate in so you can take a break from the heat. Remember, you can add up to 8 people in one reservation.
