With pickleball continuing to grow in popularity at The Villages, we’d like to remind everyone of a few important court rules that help keep our facility safe, enjoyable, and in compliance with our City of San Jose use permit.
Did You Know?
- Registration is required. All residents must be registered in the YourCourts reservation system before using the courts, and every player must be listed on the court reservation.
- Only approved equipment may be used. Due to City noise restrictions, only paddles appearing on the Sun City or USA Pickleball Quiet Paddle Lists and yellow Onix Pure 2 pickleballs are permitted on our courts.
- Court shoes are required. Proper court shoes help prevent injuries and protect the playing surface for everyone.
- Practice good sportsmanship. Please treat fellow players with courtesy and respect. Good court etiquette helps create a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels. Abusive, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Know what to do if there’s a problem. If you observe someone using unapproved equipment, not wearing proper court shoes, or engaging in inappropriate behavior, please do not confront the individual. Instead, contact Public Safety at 408-223-4665, who can address the situation safely and appropriately.
- And please remember: Guests can only play after 12:00 noon.
Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable pickleball program while ensuring we remain in compliance with our operating requirements. Thank you for doing your part to make The Villages pickleball community a great place to play!
