Court Scheduling Rules

With the growing popularity of pickleball—especially during the morning and late afternoon—“primetime hours” were established to ensure fair access for all players. To maintain fairness, each player is limited in how many times they may play during primetime each week. The current rules are listed on the Primetime Hours page.

Guest accounts can be requested here, where you’ll also find an explanation of The Villages Guest Policy.

Per the San Jose use permit, we can only use:

Only yellow Onix 2 Pure Pickleballs may be used in The Villages to meet City of San Jose sound requirements. The club sells them at a discounted rate (we buy in bulk and pass the savings on to members)—$2.50 each for members (billed to your house number) and $12.50 for 3 for non-members. For comparison, Pickleball Central charges $16.98 for 3 (including shipping, tax, and discount). You can order balls at cost using this form.

Open Court Signups:
If you happen to drive by the courts and see an unreserved court, you can go out and play, regardless of whether or not you have maxed your Primetime play already that week. Because we lock down signups once a timeslot starts, you cannot sign up on YourCourts. Instead, use this page to sign up after playing.

How to Reserve Courts using YourCourts
This document explains how to log in to YourCourts, as well as how to make, edit, and cancel reservations. If you have multiple YourCourts accounts (for Bocce, Tennis, Table Tennis, or Ceramics), it also includes instructions for synchronizing your passwords to simplify access.
